Perlane® is injected into the deep layers of your skin with a very fine needle.  Some patients experience mild discomfort as the needle is inserted into the skin.  Dr. Toohey may administer a topical or local anesthesia prior to the injections to help you remain comfortable.  Typically, the Perlane® procedure takes less than one hour.

Is Perlane® a Permanent Solution For Severe Facial Wrinkles?

Hyaluronic acid is a bio-degradable substance that is naturally absorbed by your body.  The results from your Perlane® procedure should last up to six months before you need a follow-up treatment.
